Indiana Realtors are hosting blood drives across the state this month and the Southwest Indiana Association of Realtors is participating too. Here's how to donate in Evansville.

A young man who has been fighting cancer for two years is looking for folks who are willing to donate some of their precious, life-saving blood.

In recognition of May begin Trauma Awareness Month, 44 News and the American Red Cross at the corner of Stockwell and the Lloyd Expressway encourage you to give the gift of life on Monday, May 16th during the annual Life Saving Partners Blood Drive.

As I mentioned in a previous entry, the holiday's provide a double-edged sword for the Southwestern Indiana Chapter of the American Red Cross. On one hand the demand for blood is at one of its highest points of the year, while on the other hand, supply is low as the hustle and bustle of the holiday season prevents people from finding time to donate.

The Evansville chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting a 'Donor Rama' today until 6pm at the Red Cross offices located at the Lloyd and Stockwell. Did you know that every two seconds in this country, someone needs a blood transfusion?
