With the test runs for the Shrinersfest airshows going on this week in downtown Evansville, it gets very loud at my desk in the middle of the office with no windows.  It got me thinking, that if I didn't know there was an airshow happening, I would be completely freaked out.  You've got to think there's some poor soul out there that was clueless as to what was happening.

Shrinersfest continues today with more of the airshow, plus bierstubes and the finals of the Bud Light UFC ticket giveaway and video game tournament.  It's all free in downtown Evansville all weekend long.  Get more info here.  Check out some pictures of Friday at Shrinersfest, and see a brief glimpse of one of the planes I got from the WKDQ parking lot...

The Blue Angels have cancelled their appearance at the Evansville Shrinersfest.  According to the Evansville Courier and Press, the show was cancelled after one of the pilots was suspended after a recent airshow. So far, there’s no word from the Shriners about the situation, but with only two week’s notice, I would be surprised to see them able to pull together an alternative airshow for this year
