Every first weekend in December for the last 4 years, I've spent shivering, soaking wet, and mainly smiling, as we fill a tractor trailer full of toys for 911 Give Hope For The Holidays. I love participating in this 60-hour marathon of collecting supplies for local hospitals, but never knew just how closely it would affect me until this week.
Thursday was the day to deliver all the toys and supplies we collected during our 911 Gives Hope For The Holidays Toy Drive. We want to thank the Tri-State once again for your generosity and the local hospitals were thrilled with these donations.
Every holiday season, for three days, police officers, firefighters, and medics camp out at the Evansville Wal-Mart East parking lot to collect toys. Indispensable support is provided by Townsquare Media, Henderson Chevrolet, and Wal-mart.
With the 4th Annual 911 Gives Hope For The Holidays Toy Drive happening this weekend and also Chris Young's Liquid Neon Tour happening Saturday night at The Centre, we've come up with some cool ways for you to participate in both.
All weekend WKDQ will be out at the eastside Walmart along with 911 Gives Hope collecting toys for local hospital pediatric units. Come by and donate 24/7!!
