There are a ton of cooking shows on television now and none of them would be here had it not been for Julia Child, who was one of the pioneers of cooking on television, even though she was not the first TV cook. She is known primarily for introducing French Cuisine to the American public and her groundbreaking TV show, The French Chef, was the first TV show to be captioned for the deaf.
