Dating can be VERY expensive. But you can have a long, hot summer even if you have to date on a budget. Betty Confidential put together a list of ideas and I have added some local suggestions.....

  • Go on a picnic - romantic AND cheap- put together your a basket full of finger foods (cheese, crackers, fruit, deli meats, cookies, bottled water, soda etc.) and go to  a local park. Find a secluded spot under a tree and enjoy romance in the outdoors. You can even go for a walk or bike ride too!!  If it lasted all night, you could watch the sun come up!! ** Try Wesselmans Park**
  • Get some culture - interesting AND cheap - go to a poetry reading, arts festival, antique fair. Walk around, have great converstaion and get to know each other. **Go to Pennylane Coffee House**
  • Rent A Movie At Home - romantic, relaxing and PRIVATE! ;-) **Get Netflix**
  • Switch Babysitting - trade weekends with your friends so that no one has to pay for babysitting. Sometimes that is the biggest expense of the date. **Try switching weekends with family members first**
