State Trooper Involved Shooting in Vincennes [UPDATE]

The suspect who was killed during a shooting with police has been identified.

Indiana State Police have released the name of the person who was killed by State Police during an altercation at Chuckles in Vincennes.

The suspect has been identified as David Zimmerman, 35, of Princeton. According to the police report  "troopers spotted Zimmerman’s Dodge Ram pickup truck at Chuckles. Troopers in unmarked vehicles pulled in behind his truck. Zimmerman placed his vehicle in reverse and collided into the front of one of the unmarked vehicles. Troopers opened fire when Zimmerman reached for a weapon.  Zimmerman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes where he died from his injuries.  A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun."
