If travelling into Henderson has been a tad scary for you with the southbound bridge being split between the two bridges, no worries, an end is in sight!

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation we could be seeing the two lanes back open on the southbound bridge as early as this week!

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a shift in traffic pattern for Phase One of the Fix for 41 Project.

Contractors anticipate finishing up pavement striping on the southbound Ohio River Bridge by the end of the day Tuesday, Nov. 21, depending upon weather conditions. Traffic patterns on the bridge are expected to return to the normal two-lane configuration once this is finished. During this time, one lane of the northbound bridge will be closed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for removal of temporary pavement markings.

Upon completion of this work, contractors will begin working in the evening on the southbound Ohio River Crossing to complete joint sealing and other miscellaneous items to begin wrapping up Phase One. INDOT urges motorists to slow down and stay alert in work zones.
