A new study has revealed that a pretty detailed picture of ordinary people can be created simply by looking at the topics we discuss on Facebook and other social media. It should be no surprise that we develop new interests as we mature or more specifically, age. Men and women talk about the the same things on social media, only at different times in their lives.
Trick shot videos can be pretty amazing depending on how elaborate they are, which in some cases might even make you question their authenticity. The first Video is one of the most incredible basketball shots you will ever see featuring a guy falling from a 100-goot platform and dropping the ball through the hoop. The second video might be the greates trick golf shot ever and definitely a one-in-a-million shot.
This video may not have any real social significance and it's certainly not the most news worthy story of the day. However, with everything going on in the world today and on the nightly newscasts, sometimes we just need something to remind us that life is good and humanity can be a beautiful thing.
Every so often you see a video that makes you say, "no way he just did that." Have you ever heard of noodling? Noodling is basically fishing with your bare hands and believe it or not, but some people are very skilled at this. In fact, I think there is some kind of reality show about noodling. What do you call quail hunting with your bare hands?
S*#T! There goes another title that Indiana and Kentucky lose out on. According to a new survey, people swear more in Ohio than any other state in the Union, followed by Maryland and New Jersey...well there's a f@!#ing surprise - what no New York? The National Transportation Safety Board has recommended that states lower the blood alcohol level for drunk driving to .05% from .08%. The NTSB believes at least 1,000 lives could be saved each year if this plan were to be adopted. It would be up to the individual states to pass such legislation. Currently, all 50 states have .08 as the standard by which a driver is considered impaired and subject to arrest.
Theme park ride lines like the ones at any Disney park can be excruciatingly long and frustrating, on that we all agree, right? Well, what if you could shell out some cash and go right to the front of the line? According to the New York Post, that is exactly what is happening, except this story has a little twist. The cash is being paid to handicapped tour guides, who pose as family members to get them straight to the front of the line in a matter of a couple of minutes.
At about 10:30 this morning, I had to run a quick errand to the West side. As I was getting in my car in the WKDQ parking lot at 4th and Walnut, an accident had just occurred there and the intersection was blocked. So, I went a different way and was shocked at how long it took me to just to get out of Downtown!
It is tick season in the Tri-State and their populations are booming. Along with the growing number of ticks are an equal number of myths about how they affect people, where they live and how to get rid of the little diggers. It seems everyone has some method for dealing with ticks and it turns out that a lot of what we thought we knew is wrong.
Today is Mother's Day and rather than write about what most of us are feeling today, I thought I would just share this video Mother's Day message for all moms to enjoy, but especially my mom who lives in California.
Mother's Day is tomorrow and hopefully, you are not waiting until the last minute to do something special for mom. My mom lives in California and I haven't seen her in almost nine years, which is about to change. My mom and my wife are the best mothers I have ever seen for so many reasons that would take a while to describe.
