Valentine's Day is next Thursday (guess I need to do some shopping), and the Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) is giving you the chance to send some love to those who have dedicated themselves to protecting our freedom.

Beginning today (February 4th) through Valentine's Day stop by any of the eight EVPL branches to write a Valentine for a local veteran. Typically, Valentines are reserved for messages of love, however since you likely won't personally know the veteran who will receive your letter, maybe telling them you "love" them doesn't feel right. If that's the case, maybe a quick note of appreciation and thanks for the service is the route to go.

Whatever words you choose, I'm sure whoever receives those words will appreciate the sentiment behind them.

For hours of operation for each of the eight branches, visit the EVPL website.
