Princeton phenom, Jackie Young, only needed 14 points to break Damon Bailey's all-time scoring record for both girls and boys high school basketball entering Thursday night's game against Pike Central. She accomplished the goal before the end of the first quarter.

Already committed to playing collegiate ball at Notre Dame, the senior finished the night with 39 points to give her 3,160 for her career in route to a 79-33 win. The performance was impressive enough to catch the eye of ESPN, who included Young's performance as a "bonus play" in their nightly SportsCenter Top 10.

With three games left to play in the regular season, and a scoring average of 37.8 points per game this season, I think it's safe to say the record will stay with Young for years to come.
