If you are like me and have old newspapers, magazines, cardboard and plastic bottles sacked up and ready to recycle - Saturday is the day to clean house!

'Recycle Day' for Vanderburgh County is Saturday (May 18) at the 4-H Center in Evansville. Bring your aluminum cans, cardboard, newspapers, glass containers, metal food cans, catalogs/magazines, mixed paper, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, and bagged shredded paper, to be recycled, between 8am and 12noon.

Upcoming recycle days are scheduled for Jun 1st, at the Old Walmart West, and June 22 at the 4-H Center.

Other events include:

  • June 8 - Tox Away Day 9am - 2pm at Central High School
  • July 19 - Paper Shredding Day - 10am - 1pm at Washington Park
