As schools across the Tri-State, plenty of kids will be looking for part-time jobs over the summer. One of the most in-demand jobs will be babysitting so make sure you kid is a SAFE SITTER will a special class offered by St. Vincent.

St. Vincent will be offering another round of SAFE SITTER classes in June. These classes according to the press release are a "hands-on class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children."

In the class, students will learn what to do if a child is choking, how to perform CPR, when to call for emergency help and other childcare and babysitting business skills.

Class dates are set for Wednesday, June 7, Thursday, June 8, Tuesday, June 13, Wednesday, June 14 and Monday, June 26. The program will run from 8:30 AM until 3:30 PM each day.

The SAFE SITTER classes are $60 per student and include the one-day program, student manual, messenger bag, and supplies.

The classes are offered by St. Vincent Outreach services. Class size is limited. Registration is required and may be done through St. Vincent Outreach Services at 812.485.5607
