You have seen list like these all of the time. They are are purely a matter of opinion, but "Rolling Stone" has a list that has me saying "are you sure???"

"Rolling Stone" listed "The 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time."  It's based on things like lasting impact on the genre, and legacy as entertainers, and the ability to be one-of-a-kind.  Again, this simply comes down to opinion but I think a lot of use will agree that the list is a little off. Here's the Top 10:

1.  Merle Haggard

2.  Hank Williams

3.  Johnny Cash

4.  Loretta Lynn

5.  The Carter Family

6.  Willie Nelson

7.  Waylon Jennings

8.  Dolly Parton

9.  George Jones

10.  Garth Brooks

Overall, a pretty strong Top 10. The thing that I am not feeling is The Carter Family in at number 5. Most people who are fans of country music have a hard time naming a song that they sing. Not that I have a problem with the Carter Family at all, I would just change things up a bit. How Garth Brooks barely made the top 10 is beyond me, so I would move him to number 5 and put George Strait in at number 10. What do you think?

You can check out the full list here to see if your favorite artist made the cut. Spoiler alert, my favorite (Travis Tritt) didn't make the list, so there's strikes 1,2, and 3 right there!
