Prior to the 2012 CMA Awards, fans, media and “experts” lined up to make predictions on who would win each award. Taste of Country staff made their picks as well, and asked readers to do the same in daily readers polls. It’s time to look at how everyone did. Warning: It’s not pretty.

Of the nine predictions, ToC staff and readers each got three right, including both picking the winner for New Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. Nobody (as a whole) picked Blake Shelton to win Entertainer or Male Vocalist of the Year, and he did just that. Scroll through to see the ugly results. Hopefully nobody had any money riding on these awards.

The national Anthem is one of the toughest songs to sing that there is. There have been some great versions and some really bad versions over the years - Rosanne - just sayin'.
