Quick Getaway Trips to See Family is Well Worth the Time

This weekend was one of those quick trip getaways up to Indy to see our families and already, I’m  missing my kids and their new fur baby, Zoso (a 9-week old German Shephard puppy – OMG so adorable!)  Eric, my son, had flown in from Greece where he has spent the past 6 months on a cruise ship playing guitar with a professional band.  All of us are so happy he’s finally back in the USA after 3 years of playing all around the world!

With the short time we spent together, we made the most of it…eating together, laughing, catching up on everything and playing a Rock Band 4 video game.  All of them played while I watched. Then, my kids invited me to play along.  What?? I can’t play guitar! But, they insisted, so, what the heck, I tried!  I found it much easier playing with a PS4 plastic guitar than a real one!  Eric played drums, Jaclyn, my daughter played lead guitar, and I played the bass. (It’s all about that bass, right?) After playing 2 songs my score was awful. Then we played Peter Frampton’s, “Do You Feel Like We Do?” and I scored 79% of the correct notes. This momma can still rock-n-roll!  But, most importantly was spending quality time with both my kids as we played music together, singing, and laughing and just having so much fun ! #Qualitytime  #LoveMyFamily. #ThankfulandBlessed
