The Pumpkin Spice Craze Has Begun

Apparently now EVERY company wants to bust out their pumpkin spice flavors before Labor Day.  Guys . . . just let me enjoy the last few weeks of summer, please.

We have Cheerios to blame for starting this trend early this year!

General Mills just announced that their brand new Pumpkin Spice Cheerios are coming soon...much sooner than most people put out pumpkin spice flavored items. Usually you see this seasonal trend around October or November, but General Mills plans on having Pumpkin Spice Cheerios on shelves everywhere before the end of the month.

Then, M&M's, a few days later announced their new flavor this year is white chocolate filled with butterscotch.  And they're calling it... BOO-tterscotch (I see what you did there, M&M's).  They'll be on sale at Target within the next few weeks.They're also bringing back a few other older Halloween flavors, like Pecan Pie and Candy Corn.

As if that wasn't enough of a reminder that summer is almost over, McDonald's just announced that their pumpkin spice lattes will be going on sale everywhere on August 31st.

Thankfully, Starbucks hasn't announced when theirs will be back . . . last year it was September 8th, but if they have any compassion for those who still want to enjoy summer, they will hold off as long as they can!
