Part of Sharon Road in Newburgh to Close November 1 [UPDATE]

UPDATED: THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1ST AT 5:13AM

Newburgh officials have announced the start date for the project has been pushed back to "On or after Nov. 7th."

Residents of Newburgh will be a little inconvenienced for a while as Sharon Road from State Street to Hillcrest Drive will be shut down for "several weeks" which includes two days beginning tomorrow (November 1st, 2018) at the intersection of Sharon and State.

Eyewitness News shared the information Tuesday morning on Facebook.

What isn't mentioned is why. Presumably there is some sort of construction or repair work being done in the area which requires the closure. Whatever the reason, if you live or drive through that area on a regular basis, make plans to take an alternate route.
