Over the weekend, it was reported the My Fitness Pal app was faced with a massive security breach of its over 150 million users; the same fate has possibly befallen Panera Bread customers.

A security expert has reported Panera had millions of customers' personal information available and searchable on its site, for at least eight months. The information has now been taken offline. Anyone who signed up for an account to order food online via Panera's website was vulnerable to the breach.

The bakery chain and cafe has more than 2,100 locations in the United States and in Canada. The issue at hand is now is how seriously the breach issue was taken internally at the company, since it was first noticed in August of last year. It's also unknown the exact number of accounts affected.
