OPD Asking For Your Help For Information Regarding Rape Suspect

The Owensboro Police Department is seeking your help to find a rape suspect.

VIa the OPD:

At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23rd, 2013, the Owensboro Police Department responded to a rape not in progress call in the 1200 block of W. 7th Street.

During the initial investigation, the female victim alleged that at approximately 1:50 a.m., an unknown black male entered her apartment. While armed with a knife, the subject sexually assaulted the victim.

Detectives are asking for help from the community in determining the identity of the suspect. If anyone has information about this case, they are asked to contact police at 687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip on the Crime Stoppers tip line at 687-8484.

Suspect:

• Black male
• 6’3” to 6’4” tall
• Medium build
• Age – 40’s
• Buzzed hair
• Clean shaven
