One Facebook Post Reminds Us to Respect the River When Boating

It's Summertime and boating season is in full swing! Around here people LOVE to take a day and head down the Ohio river for some fun in the sun! A lot of people also like to go out to the sand bars on the Ohio and enjoy sunshine and sand.  However some people don't know how to clean up after themselves and many are fired up about it.  Rightfully so. 

Going out and enjoying a day on the river is fine.  Going out and drinking (responsibly!) on the river is fine.  Going out and drinking and leaving your beer cans on the sand bar to trash up the river is NOT fine.

This was posted to facebook on Saturday and has since been shared over 100 times.  It's a reminder to be respectful to not only other boaters, but also to mother nature.   There's no excuse for this. If you're old enough to go out and boat and drink, you're old enough to pick up after yourself.
