Old Dominion, 'One Man Band':

Old Dominion have followed their latest single, the up-tempo and optimistic "Make it Sweet," with a new love ballad called "One Man Band," accompanied by an intimate video that gives fans a behind-the-scenes long at the creation of the song.

"I don't think our fans have heard us show the type of emotion that they will hear in 'One Man Band,'" Old Dominion frontman Matthew Ramsey tells People. "It's a straight-up love song with a certain desperation to it that seems to show up in quite a few of the other new songs we have yet to release." -- CL

Jade Bird, "I Get No Joy":

Ahead of her upcoming self-titled album, Jade Bird has released a new track called “I Get No Joy.” In the fast-paced song, Bird sings as passionately as she does quickly about not being able to crack a smile and enjoy life. Instead, the singer finds herself stuck in a constant cycle of overthinking everything around her. “This song is about the stream of thought that runs through your head at all times as an overthinker,” says Bird in a press release. “It’s about how that gets in the way of being present in the moment … and about the frustration of everyone’s cliché of happiness not making you feel fulfilled either.” Jade Bird will be released on April 19; Bird wrote all of the songs on the collection. -- CC

Cody Jinks, “Somewhere Between I Love You and I’m Leaving”:

Cody Jinks has shared a new single from his latest release, Lifers. “Somewhere Between I Love You and I’m Leaving” is a somber song about being caught in between wanting to stick it out in a relationship and deciding to part ways: “I'm somewhere between ‘I love you’ and ‘I'm leavin'’ / Somewhere between ‘I need you’ and lettin' go / And it scares me so,” sings Jinks. “Somewhere Between I Love You and I’m Leaving” was written by Jinks and Eric David Allen; the song will hit country radio on Jan. 22. -- CC

Shovels & Rope, "The Wire":

Folk group Shovels & Rope have released a new song from their upcoming album, By Blood. In “The Wire,” the-husband-and wife duo, comprised of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst, sing about being able to perform well under pressure, despite less-than-ideal personality traits: “I won't fail you when I walk out on the wire." By Blood will feature nine other songs in addition to “The Wire” and is expected on April 12. -- CC

Mary Bragg, "The Right Track":

Before she releases her new album on March 1, Mary Bragg is sharing her new song “The Right Track,” a story about how life can feel like a long and daunting task at times -- but, eventually, things start to make sense. The singer explains, "The small victories are easy to overlook when you feel like nothing's going anywhere, but it's never really as bleak as it can feel. When you're doing the work and taking chances on things that take a long time to come to fruition (whether in the music business or otherwise), there is such value in that, even if it doesn't feel like it at first. See -- I'm a serial optimist." "The Right Track" was written by Bragg alongside Adam James. -- CC

Bastian Baker, "You Should Call Home":

Multi-genre Swiss singer Bastian Baker has released a plaintive new ballad, "You Should Call Home," which reminds his fans to stay connected to the places and people that are the most important. Homesickness is something that Baker knows well, as he's often out on the road playing shows several countries away from his family.

"I travel so much, and often get caught up in my work, and the day-to-day grind, that important things like giving my folks back in Switzerland a call can sometimes slip through the cracks. I wouldn't be me without my family and Switzerland as a whole," Bastian shares in a press release. "You truly never know what tomorrow may bring, so I do my best to call home as much as possible. I hope this song will encourage others to do the same!"

"You Should Call Home" comes off of Baker's self-titled fourth album, which is all his American debut. -- CL

Smithfield, "Our World":

Duo Smithfield are taking listeners on a nostalgic ride back to simpler days in "Our World," a heart-pounding blend of country and pop that remembers teenage years filled with fast cars, warm nights and first love. The song was written by Jaden Michaels, Jordan Minton and Ben Johnson, and was produced by David Fanning.

"The first time we heard [Our World], we immediately had that feeling of growing up and feeling invincible, like we were the only two people in the world," Smithfield tells Taste of Countrywho premiered the track. "That's something we can all connect with. This is the first time we've released something we didn't write, but as artists, we always agreed to release the best music. Period. Huge thanks to the writers for letting us cut a great song." -- CL

John Paul White, "The Long Way Home":

John Paul White has shared "The Long Way Home," which is the fifth track off his upcoming new album, The Hurting Kind, due out on April 12. The new song finds White on a lonesome journey, bolstered by acoustic guitar and a rich, epic vocal line. Although the undertones of the song are melancholy, with a feeling of setting out on a long journey alone, the lyrics emphatically declare that this is a journey with a end destination. "I ain't leaving / I'm just taking the long way home to you," White sings in the chorus. -- CL

Caylee Hammack, "Family Tree":

Newcomer Caylee Hammack know that the best way to get listeners to understand you is to tell them all about where you come from, and she's doing just that with "Family Tree," the first track from her upcoming debut album and her Capitol Nashville debut. The song tells the real-life story her family members and the people that populated her life during her upbringing in small-town Georgia.

"I think family is the best way to introduce yourself to people," Hammack explains in a press release. "My mama is crazy about Tupperware and my daddy hasn't made it through a whole football game without falling asleep in his easy chair since I can remember. My sister smokes too much and she knows it. Every family has their quirks. This song is about the people I love the most, and the ones who made me who I am...and unknowingly, they have given me more song ideas than I can count just by being themselves. Real life can be real funny like that." -- CL
