Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is gearing for it's most popular event, Boo At The Zoo October 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 & 28. This is one one of the best ways for the kids to enjoy a safe family Halloween celebration. One new feature this year will be the Nocturnal exhibit where you can experience the creatures of the night and Amazonia all at the same time along with more  than a dozen candy stations for the kids to trick or treat through. There will also craft activities, a giant inflatable, a Mad Scientist, murals, face painting, creepy critters, the Tent of Terror and games. One of the most popular parts of Boo At The Zoo is Magician Don Baggett who will be on hand again this year.

I can tell you from personal experience that this is one of the best Halloween events in the Tri-State area with all the kids running around in their costumes and trick or treating, all while enjoying the Zoo.  We take our little guys every year, even our older kids love it and as a parent, it's the best value for the money at Halloween. Purchase advance tickets here at $6 for Zoo members and $8 for non-Zoo members. You can also find $1 off coupons at all Evansville area Old National Bank locations.

Another great feature is the 2nd annual Monsanto Scarecrow Decorating Contest with cash prizes as much as $250 for first place in two categories and $50 for second in those categories, as well as other prizes valued at more than $500 in addition to a prize pack from Monsanto.

The gates will close at 2pm on each night of Boo At The Zoo and reopen at 5pm for the event itself. Get your tickets now and look for your favorite WKDQ personalities with our kids because you can bet we'll be there!
