I can't tell you how many people I have seen on Facebook fall for this over the past couple of weeks! There have been countless fraudulent pages that are falsely associated with Ellen DeGeneres giving away money/prizes on Facebook.

These posts come from pages that have been created using different variations of Ellen's name. They use photos and videos of Ellen from her actual social media and other sources and claim that Ellen will be giving away money and other prizes if you like, share, and comment on the post.

Newsflash: you can like, share, and comment all that you want, but you won't be winning anything because this is a SCAM!

Don't fall for these things! If you were to just take the time to click on the video in these posts, you will see that Ellen doesn't even mention giving away money. In fact, all she is talking about in these videos are some of her upcoming projects and things associated with her show. Here's an example:

This is very similar to when Tyler Perry was supposed to be giving away money on Facebook to people. Which, I shouldn't have to tell you, was also a scam. Most celebrities' social media profiles will have a blue check mark next to their name. That check mark means that is the actual person, any other profile is FAKE. It's important to know that, so that you don't fall for false information, or a potential scam.
