New Skyscraper At One World Trade Center Now The Tallest In New York City [Video]

The World Trade Center is back on top in NYC. The new skyscraper, One World Trade Center, became the tallest building in NYC yesterday surpassing the Empire State Building. The milestone occurred when a beam was placed at the top of the skyscraper being built to replace the twin towers that collapsed in the September 11 terrorist attacks. The new building will not be completed for another year which has left some New Yorkers wandering why yesterday's beam placement was such a big deal. Many more however, were very excited by the moment giving people a renewed feeling that the World Trade Center is back.

When the building is complete sometime next year, it will be the tallest building in the U.S. and the  third tallest building in the world. You can see the events of yesterday in the below video.
