Meet ‘Giant George’ The World’s Tallest Dog [Video]

Every Thursday we have Sydney Long from the Vanderburgh Humane Society in studio with a 'pet of the week' in hopes of getting that pet adopted. After four weeks of this feature, I have already adopted a Pug named Bruce Wayne and Leslie has a dopted a cat. In my reserach on our Pug, I came across the story of 'Giant George' The World's Tallest Dog. George is a Great Dane that is 43 inches tall and weighs an astonishing 245 pounds and is certified by the Guiness Book of World Records as the World's Tallest dog.

George weighs almost 100 pounds more than average Great Dane and towers over all other large dogs. George has become quite a hit on Facebook and YouTube and drawas attention wherever he goes.

George's family got him from a breeder and ironically, George was the runt of the litter and for the first few months was a normal sized Great Dane. All of a sudden, George began to put on weight and grow very quickly. He has been on Oprah and has his own Facebook page. Meet 'Giant George' for your self in the below videos.
