Though newcomer Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes put up a heck of a fight, Sen. Mitch McConnell has won a sixth term as Kentucky Senator. A 30-year Washington veteran, McConnell is looking at becoming the second Senate majority leader from Kentucky. McConnell's campaign lined up Grimes with President Barack Obama and used his low approval rating in Kentucky against her. Early returns tabulated by The Associated Press showed McConnell having a decisive victory over Grimes.
