According to Pawboost, the number of missing pets DOUBLES on New Years Day. This is due to a number of things, firework being one, and another being if you're hosting  a party, the foot traffic in and out of your house, pets can easily slip out.

So here's a couple tips to make sure your pet is safe this new years.

  • Make sure their ID tags are updated! You can do this quickly at a pet tag kiosk in almost any pet store.
  • Create a safe space for your pet. If they aren't used to having people over, have a room for just them to go to where they can go and relax. If your dog is crated, have their crate in there so they can retreat if they feel overwhelmed.
  • Make sure all doors, gates, and windows are closed before leaving the house.
