LoCash Cowboys Throw Breakfast Party for Fans in Nashville

On Thursday morning (June 7), Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of the LoCash Cowboys got up bright and early to hang out with their fans at Puckett’s Grocery in downtown Nashville for an intimate breakfast in the midst of the 2012 CMA Music Festival activities. Lucas brought many of family members with him, including his proud mother, his lovely wife and their two-year-old son.
As fans at the sold-out event munched on a breakfast spread of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, hash browns, potatoes, grits and fruit, the duo took the stage for an acoustic performance of some of their recent work, including ‘Here Comes Summer,’ as well as some brand new tunes the two have been working on for their forthcoming debut album.
Between songs, Brust and Lucas chatted with those in attendance, told jokes and funny stories — like the time they found out that Keith Urban was going to record their song ‘You Gonna Fly.’ They continued on with their set by playing the multi-week No. 1 song that helped solidify them as respected songwriters in Nashville.
LoCash wound their party down by sharing some exciting news of what’s to come in their career later on in the year, and closed out their nine-song set with their upcoming summertime single, ‘C-O-U-N-T-R-Y.’
“This was our first real fan club party,” Lucas told Taste of Country at the event. “I don’t like to call it a ‘fan club’ because these people are more like friends to us. They are all people who believe in us. This was our first real time to sit down with all of them and let them know what we are doing. It was good for all of us. I think it was good for each of us to see the friends and fans that we have behind us. It was more of a family setting than anything, and that’s the way we are with our fans. It was a great turn out. It was awesome, and it couldn’t have gone better.”
“Breakfast with LoCash was really special this morning,” added Brust. “We were able to debut a few songs that no one has ever heard and shared some exciting news that not even the press has heard yet! It was definitely the place to be for a true LoCash family member. This morning just proved why breakfast is definitely the most important meal of the day!”
Stay tuned to Taste of Country for more LoCash Cowboys news to be announced in the coming weeks.

The national Anthem is one of the toughest songs to sing that there is. There have been some great versions and some really bad versions over the years - Rosanne - just sayin'. We had some great versions at the Ford Center during the recent Icemen season and just the other night, a little boy did a killer version of the anthem before the Otters game at Bosse Field that was awesome... but sometimes.
