Have you ever given any thought to traveling in an elevator? Elevators are uncomfortable for a lot of people because you are in a tight, confined space with other people that you probably don't know. It's perfectly normal to be a little apprehensive in an elevator...they're kind of creepy. The last thing you want to do is stop at every floor. Well, you don't have to anymore.This trick is one the police use when they are in a hurry, and it is really pretty obvious when you think about it.

My wife and I live on the 4th floor of our building and when we are in the elevator with our dog and other people want to get on, it is a nightmare! The dog goes crazy like he's never seen humans before and it is embarrassing.

Also, have you ever gotten on the elevator after stocking up on beer and wine only to have a nosy neighbor ask you if you're having a party when you're not? If you just picked up a pizza, don't you feel like you should offer everyone on the elevator a slice? Awkward.

Here's what you do to go straight to your floor without stopping:

Hold the close door until the doors close, but keep holding the button
Select your floor and do not let go of the number and close door button until the elevator moves.
This will allow you to go directly to your floor without stopping.
