Lee Brice Petitions for CMAs Votes With Hilarious Viral Campaign Videos

Has Lee Brice petitioned to include his name as a last minute addition to the upcoming Presidential election ballot? Well… not quite, but the ‘Hard to Love’ singer has released a series of hilarious campaign videos, which spoof typical political warfare tactics in an effort to sway voters of his own. The ‘Hard to Love’ singer is hoping that when deciding the fate of the New Artist trophy for the upcoming CMA Awards ceremony, industry reps will choose him.
“From day one, my platform has been solid,” Brice says confidently in one funny clip. The singer appears cool, calm and collected as the camera pans away from his face, revealing a platform built with cases of beer. “My party is always open to everyone.”
In another campaigning video, Brice defends his position as the leading nominee. “There’s all this talk about Obama and Romney’s records, but quite frankly, I don’t know why they have to blast each others records,” Brice observes. “I’ve never heard a record from either of them.”
“The message is clear. I do have a record,” he says, as he pulls out his 2012 ‘Hard to Love’ album. “And I am blessed to say that my record speaks for itself. The people have spoken. Every state has listened to my record, knows my record and has supported my record.”
He adds, “For that, I’m truly thankful.”
Brice has become a consistent hitmaker since first reaching No. 1 in 2009 with ‘Love Like Crazy.’ The South Carolina native capitalized on his breakthrough hit with his 2011 platinum-selling chart-topper, ‘A Woman Like You,’ the first single from the singer’s current ‘Hard to Love’ album. The project’s title track is currently Top 10 with gold-selling status.
Brice faces stiff competition in the race for the CMAs New Artist trophy, competing against Hunter Hayes, Brantley Gilbert. Thompson Square and Love & Theft in the male-dominated category. Will his campaign videos be an effective way of garnering more votes?
