Lane Closures Set to Begin for Paving Project on U.S. 41 in Evansville VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane closures for U.S. 41 in Evansville for a pavement reconstruction project.
Beginning on or around Monday, June 27, contractors will close the right-hand travel lanes of both north and southbound U.S. 41 from about half a mile south of the I-69 Interchange to Virginia Street. Crews will work to rehabilitate the concrete sub-grade of the road way and will also perform milling and repaving. Shifts to the left-hand lane are expected by late August or early September.
All work is expected to last late into the fall, but be complete by the end of the construction season. During that time lane closures will be in place around the clock. Drivers should expect traffic delays, and plan accordingly. INDOT urges motorists to follow the speed limits set in the work zone and stay alert near crews.
