Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Highway Crews have been out plowing since about 9 p.m. in the Ohio River border counties.  They report mostly a wet heavy snow that plows well.

Here is the Kentucky Highway Report for District 1 and District 2 with comments:

District 1 PADUCAH
Time: 4:51 AM CST
Weather: Snowing 2 inches accumulation at Paducah
Air Temperature: 28
Road Temperature: 37

Comments:
 Northern counties are reporting snow sticking to roadways with more accumulation on grassy areas. Livingston County reports 3 or more inches in areas north of US 60.  Crittenden County reports about 2 inches with up to 3 inches near the Ohio River.  Calloway County and Trigg County are reporting mostly rain.  Snow is trailing off in most counties.  Ohio River border counties report the snow is plowing well and they expect to make good progress once the snow ends.

District 2 MADISONVILLE
Time: 4:42 AM EST
Weather: Snowing in Madisonville with 1.5 inch accumulation

Air Temperature: 30

Road Temperature: 35

Comments:
 Henderson County has the most accumulation with about 3 inches on the ground.  Hopkins Co. reports slushy covered pavement in the northern part of the county, southern part is mostly wet roads. Ohio Co reports near 1/2 inch accumulation along KY 54 near the Daviess Co line. Union Co reports their roads are starting to clear up, mostly wet pavement at this time.

Christian County reports a mix of sleet.  Most report a mix of flurries to light snow.  Muhlenberg County reports a rain/snow mix.  Eight counties of our 11 counties report enough accumulation to allow plowing.
