Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton are ending the year with their third Grammy nomination. The duo are nominated at the 2014 Grammys for their song 'You Can’t Make Old Friends' and are feeling the excitement as they look toward a potential win.

“I’m excited and very flattered about this opportunity and am convinced I should work with Dolly more often if we’re getting these kinds of results,” Rogers says in a release.

Rogers isn't the only one who's grateful for the pair's nomination -- Parton is pleased, too. "I was so excited and proud to hear that the Grammys have nominated Kenny and I for Best Country Duo/Group Performance on ‘You Can't Make Old Friends,’" she says. "I am also very proud to hear that ‘Jolene’ made the Grammy's Hall of Fame. Thank you everyone!"

Rogers and Parton were nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1984 for 'Islands in the Stream,' and then again in 1986 for Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for their song 'Real Love.'

Even without the Grammy nomination for 'You Can't Make Old Friends,' Rogers is having a pretty good year. He's the newest member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and was honored at the CMA Awards this year with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.

At the 2014 Grammys, the duo are up against the Civil Wars, Kelly Clarkson featuring Vince GillLittle Big Town and Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift and Keith Urban in their category.
