Kenny Chesney Disses SportsCenter Anchor in Funny New Commercial

Kenny Chesney‘s new SportsCenter commercial has the singer invading the small screen — and snubbing popular ESPN anchor Steve Levy. The ESPN spot, which debuted today, shows the ‘Come Over’ singer attempting to ignore Levy as the sportscaster tries to sit with him at the cafeteria’s “cool table.”
To make things funnier, Chesney is not only the only country singer sitting with the cool kids — he’s almost the only human. The popular table includes team mascots Pistol Pete from Oklahoma State, Smokey from the University of Tennessee, Miles from the Denver Broncos, Hook ‘Em from the University of Texas and two Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, thrown in to show that the iconic hitmaker is extra suave.
Despite his admirable attempts at complimenting the singer, and even trying to get his number, Levy is unsuccessful in his (hilarious) efforts. But Chesney assures that there are no hard feelings.
“I got to see a lot of the anchors I’ve become friends with over the years, a lot of the people who come to our shows,” Chesney says of his participation in the ‘This Is SportsCenter’ ad (quote via Sony Music Nashville).
He adds, “I love visiting the ESPN campus, and I love the relationships I have there. We ran into Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan the day we filmed and we sat down at the same lunch table and had a good chat.”
Aside from his television face time on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Chesney will remain busy throughout the rest of his summer months with his Brothers of the Sun all-arena tour with Tim McGraw. The hitmaker’s latest extravagant stage show outing will travel the country in promotion of the upcoming release of his new studio album, ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl.’
Speaking on his new album, Chesney says, “‘Welcome to the Fishbowl’ is the most honest and authentic album I’ve ever recorded.” The project features the hit single ‘Feel Like a Rock Star’ with McGraw and is the first to be released under the Blue Chair/Columbia label, Chesney’s imprint co-venture with longtime label home Sony Music Nashville.

Major National Anthem Flub Before Hockey Game
The national Anthem is one of the toughest songs to sing that there is. There have been some great versions and some really bad versions over the years - Rosanne - just sayin'.
