Kelly KY “Little Green Men” Days Was as Fun as I Had Hoped!

Last weekend I had an amazing adventure that was just 30 minutes down the road from my house. Kelly, Kentucky, is located off of Highway 41 and about five minutes north of Hopkinsville. What special about this place? Its the Kelly Little Green Men Festival.

Yep, you read that right. The story is a family in 1955 was visited at their farm by what the claimed to be "Little Green Men." To the family it was a night of terror that changed the lives of the adults and children. The visit was investigated and there is plenty of information about this on line.

Years later the town has turned it in to a fun festival! There was fun stuff for the kids, some vendors, and food. Never forget the food! There were a few posters of Information including this one. This one explained that the movie E. T. Extra Terrestrial was loosely based on the events that happened in Kelly. But Steven Spielberg didn't want to the movie to be as dark as the events of that night.

While there I found this quilt that some one had made. Very cute. The bounce house for the kids looked fun. Besides that there was also different activities going on.

It's a fun, friendly atmosphere. Next year you should think about visiting this little festival yourself. I know I plan to. Though, I'm sure I wont be this festive for the festival. Still fun!! Don't miss out! For more information check out their website here!
