The 2016 presidential election is still months away, but a few country stars have been lining up to show support for their chosen candidates. In March, Justin Moore offered a tepid endorsement of Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, calling the businessman-turned-politician "just wacky enough to actually go do it." But before the 2016 ACM Awards, Moore offered a little clarification.

"At the time, Trump is my guy. I’m a Republican, and I think it’s gonna take something out of the box in order for them to win the presidency,” Moore tells Taste of Country. “He’s gotta tone down some things ..."

However, in Moore’s eyes, there’s “not a whole lot of good options, to be honest with you” in this year’s presidential field; "I don't trust any of 'em," he says. Still, Moore isn't apologizing for his remarks or completely rescinding his support for Trump.

“If you ask me a question, you’re going to get an honest answer,” he notes. “That’s why I have a career, is being honest with people."

Moore is currently wrapping up work on his latest album, which will feature his newest single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink.” He’ll head out on the road with Brantley Gilbert this summer.
