Leslie - Since I was a small child, I have suffered from Anxiety Disorder. Some days were worse than others. Periods of my young adult life were excruciating. I even contemplated suicide twice. To know and see me NOW, I know this probably shocks you. But, I went though therapy and educated myself about my illness. For that reason, if I were a doctor, I would be a Child Psychologist. I would want to help kids cope and learn how to live with their illness just like I was helped.

Read a little more about my struggle with Anxiety and my road to recovery here. :-)

Jon - As a former athlete with MAJOR knee and ankle issues, I would want to be an orthopedic surgeon. The last 10-15 years have seen careers extended by years because of the advancements and new technologies in the orthopedic realm. Team trainers alone are doing more today than the actual doctors were 20 years ago because of those advances. Take for example the work of Dr. Frank Jobe. When Los Angeles Dodgers ace Tommy John was facing a potentially career-ending elbow injury, Dr. Jobe pioneered a procedure that not only fixed the problem, but extended John's career way beyond the most optimistic of imaginations. What has become known as 'Tommy John' surgery is one of the greatest medical advances in Major League Baseball history and is still saving and extending careers.

Some pitchers are actually having the surgery now BEFORE an injury as a preventative measure....that's how important it is.
