The winner, Missie Butler, chose this!
Leslie - Although I hate to admit it, if I'm totally honest, I would have to choose losing $1000. I know, I know, it's totally against what I preach. You know, the 'LOVE YOURSELF' NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SIZE' mentality. Actually, I'm a little ashamed that I picked the answer that I did.
I guess it's because when I started working at WKDQ, almost six years ago, I was a size 3 and weighed about 115. Now, I am a size 10 and weigh 140. It's not that I don't love who I am today, I think I just was more comfortable being smaller. I'm only 5'2 so carrying more weight is not fun. There is no where for it to go. ;-) I also found out recently that I have high blood pressure that I need meds to bring down. Since high blood pressure does NOT run in my family, I know it's a result of my weight gain, inactivity and Jon. LOL
Anyway, I am going to be working really hard to NOT gain additional 20 lbs because I can't afford to do so. I have a LOT of living yet to do. So, you can have my $1000! :-)
Jon - I would MUCH rather lose $1000. Losing weight gets harder with age and putting weight ON is never healthy, especially as you get older. I have been working very hard over the last year to take weight off, especially when I went on blood pressure medication. Somehow being down a grand doesn't seem so terrible compared to what additional weight could create, but that's just me.
