Leslie - God truly blessed me when he made this amazing, brave, intelligent, funny and beautiful woman my mom!
Jon - I lost my mom last June and still have a hard time talking about her. I don't even know where to start on what she meant to me and my life. Without getting too deep into anything, there is one thing that always keeps her in perspective for me. All three of us, me and my two siblings, were all adopted by my parents before we were actually born. I am the oldest and had two years with her before my brother came along. Some people still look at adoption a little differently, just assuming there was some circumstance that required an adoption. I thank god every day for being adopted because that means she CHOSE me and my siblings...how awesome is that? I had the best life any child could have ever hoped for because of that choice. My wife Lisa noticed something when she saw my baby pictures for the first time that I never noticed. She said that I am smiling from ear to ear in every single photo. I checked them again and she's right, I am smiling big and proud. On this first Mother's Day without her, I would simply tell her this if I could...Thank you mom for CHOOSING me. I love you and miss you more than words could ever express. Happy Mother's Day, your choice was the greatest gift of my life.
