It Takes a Village’s Longest Resident Finally Finds a Family

Meet Max. Max has been under the care of It Takes a Village Canine Rescue in Evansville for a long time. 1,829 days to be exact. The math comes out to just over five years. FIVE YEARS! But that time came to an end for Max over the weekend when one family opened their arms and their home to his sweet face.

It Takes a Village posted the momentous occasion on their Facebook page Sunday evening.

While the name of the family who adopted him wasn't revealed by the rescue in the post, it appears one of the family members revealed themselves in the comments.

Here's to a long, happy life for Max and his new forever family!
