Indiana Town Names That Make You Say “HUH?!”

Have you ever drove through Indiana and saw a sign that welcomes you to a town, but you had no idea how to even pronounce the name of the town?

After doing a little research, I have found quite a few of those towns. Some may be a little easier for you to pronounce if you are from that area or are familiar with it, others will lead you saying "huh?!"

A lot of these names are based on Native American culture, as you will be able to see by clicking on their links. However, that doesn't make them any easier to pronounce! Here are some cities in Indiana that are hard to pronounce:

• Uulitic
• Osceola
• Shipshewana
• Traflagar
• Ulen
• Wakarusa
• Mishawaka
• Nappanee
• Rensselaer
• Ligonier
• Loogootee
• Montpelier
