According to the Indiana Department of Education, cursive is becoming obsolete.

In a memo sent to school leaders in the state, it was recommended that schools stop teaching cursive, and instead use that time to make its students more proficient in keyboard use.

If individual schools want to continue to teach cursive, they still can, although it's no longer required.

I say, good call.  Last time I tried to write in cursive, I got to "Q" and just decided to quit...of course I couldn't express my wush to quit in writing, because I couldn't write "Q."  It was a vicious cycle.

It would have been nice if I learned more about typing in school.  Then, it wouldn't take me so long to write this blog, but hey, at least I didn't have to write it in cursive.
