If you're looking to do some road tripping this summer, you probably want to make sure that you do it outside of the Tri-State. The website WalletHub.com  ranked all 50 states from the best place to take a road trip this summer to the worst. WalletHub based their findings based on three demolitions: Costs, Safety, and Activities. Within those three categories, there were a total of 31 factors that include:

  • the quality of the roads
  • traffic
  • driving laws
  • national parks
  • other activities and attractions
  • weather
  • shoreline and scenery
  • and gas prices.

Looking at some of those factors, you might be surprised where some of those states ended up on the list...however, you might not be too surprised where Indiana and Kentucky ended up. They say that Indiana is the "Crossroads of America," but with them making the Top 5 Worst States For Summer Road Trips, I guess it's better to just consider Indiana a "flly over state" as Jason Aldean alluded to in his hit song.
