Hunter Hayes Joins Growing List of Grammy Nominations Concert Performers

Hunter Hayes has been added to the list of performers for this year’s ‘The Grammy Nominations Concert LIVE â Countdown to Musicâs Biggest Night,â the televised music event that kicks off the Grammy Awards voting season.
The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley have also landed performance spots on the primetime television special, joining forces to pay tribute to the late Johnny Cash. The newly-announced round of performers join Luke Bryan as the only country acts asked to appear on one of music’s biggest nights.
Non-country performers include Maroon 5, R&B singer Ne-Yo, alternative rockers fun. and the iconic rock band the Who.
Hayes’ solo performance spot is certainly well-deserved, given his status as the hottest new country act right now. The ‘Somebody’s Heartbreak’ singer took home the coveted 2012 New Artist of the Year trophy during last month’s CMAs ceremony, just months after earning his first No. 1 single with ‘Wanted.’ The piano-driven ballad also gave Hayes his first platinum single, and is currently climbing the Top 40 on pop radio.
Hosted by six-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift and rapper LL Cool J, the one-hour concert special will announce this yearâs Grammy nominees and will feature performances by past Grammy winners and/or nominees. The telecast will be broadcast from Nashvilleâs Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10PM ET on CBS.
The 55th annual Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angelesâ Staples Center on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
