We have all been there.....Your number is called, after waiting forever, you walk up, stand in front of the curtain, turn and face the sweet, smiling face of the BMV worker (LOL), look into the camera with your best supermodel face, but you're not sure even where to look and then CLICK, the pic is taken. It's hard to believe the pic isn't AWESOME! haha How about some tips to make your pic the best it can be? :-)

  • Make sure that you find YOUR angle. Maybe tilt you head, slightly, to the right or left. Never face exactly forward, that's a mug shot.
  • Keep your hair simple. Wear it in the way you would normally wear it to avoid delayed recognition of your face to your pic. No, hats! Or, hat hair. Leave your hat at home.
  • Keep your neck long and high to prevent neck rings and double chin. Lean forward, just a little.
  • Wear a shirt with a flattering neckline and color. Don't worry about your pants, no one can see them anyway. But, you probably SHOULD a least wear pants to avoid a mug shot. ;-)
  • Open your eyes just a little wider, not too much, just enough to help you NOT look as tired as you feel.
  • Just SMILE, (If you can, some states don't allow it) it's not that bad, if you have followed all of the other tips, you will should be good.
  • Say CHEESE! Really! Even though it seems kinda cheesy (pardon the pun) and childish, it really works to help you smile your best.
