Ever since I was little, Snoopy has always been my favorite cartoon character. I like Woodstock too but the rest of the Peanuts gang hasn't really interested me. I just love Snoopy. Every year, I'd wait patiently for his holiday specials: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas.

One year, for Christmas a friend gave me the box set of DVDs because it was becoming harder and harder to catch the classics. Now, right around this time of year, I pop the first installment of the trilogy and enjoy Linus' delusions about a giant pumpkin flying visiting the pumpkin patch. I love the Charlie Brown movies because they always are full of tough life decisions and end on a moral note. My absolute favorite scene is when Linus explains to Charlie Brown what Christmas is all about.

It's a holiday season tradition that I can't wait to share with my daughter - I've already set the dates for our movie nights!
