A host of artists contribute their talents to Heart Songs for Veterans, which utilizes music to support awareness and funding to the veteran and wounded soldier community.

The contributing artists perform at concerts or online to raise the money and on September 12th, they will be represented at Country Con at the Owensboro Convention Center.

To be perfectly honest, this organization is new to me and I'm just blown away at the efforts of these talented musicians and where their hearts are.

As a matter of fact, instead of me encapsulating what they do let me just show you their mission statement:

"Heart Songs for Veterans is a music inspired company designed to promote charitable giving from the music community to Veterans and Wounded Soldiers. Artists from across the country in all genres of music including rock, pop, country, hip hop and more donate their new songs to our program. The music is distributed globally through digital media. Proceeds from all of our song releases are donated directly to veterans, wounded soldiers, and active service men, women, and their children. Heart Songs for Veterans raises up events on a community, regional and national platform to support their mission."

Here's a performance by one of the Hearts Songs for Veterans artists, Ashley Winters:
