Are you ready for some football?! Hank Williams, Jr. is back with a new theme song on Monday Night Football, and he's teamed up with his rowdy friends Florida Georgia Line and Jason Derulo to completely reinvent the track.

The two younger acts joined Williams to re-record the iconic theme song, which is based on his hit "All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight." The new version of "All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night" debuted Monday night (Sept. 11) on ESPN during the season opener between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings.

The new recording blends rock, country, pop and hip-hop, culminating in Williams' famous opening scream. The country icon calls the Monday Night Football opening theme "a staple that fans grew to expect and wanted to see and hear."

Country Singers Who Played Football

FGL's Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are pumped to be part of such a big moment.

"We all grew up watching Monday Night Football, and it’s surreal to join Jason Derulo and Hank Williams Jr. on this new version that gives a nod back but also a step forward!" Kelly states.

"This is a huge honor to be a part of such a legendary song and night!" Hubbard adds.

Williams is also glad to be back after a six-year hiatus from ESPN, which dismissed him and his song after his infamous remarks in a 2011 interview with Fox & Friends in which he appeared to compare President Obama to Hitler.

"I am thrilled to be back and bring the fans such a new and dynamic rendition of this anthem," Bocephus adds. "Are You Ready for Some Football? ‘Cause I sure am!"
