George Strait performed his current single 'Give It All We Got Tonight' at the 2013 ACM Awards show on Sunday (April 7). The superstar is planning to release a new album later this year, and is currently on his farewell tour. Despite some audio difficulties, the crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas still gave the King a healthy round of applause.

Eli Young Band took the stage to introduce the legendary singer, who is engaged in the 60 for 60 campaign. His current single is well on its way to becoming the 60th No. 1 hit single of his career. His team is pushing for that to happen before Strait turns 61 on May 18.

Strait has always been a consistently strong performer at awards shows, but audio goblins can even get the best in the business. At Sunday's ACMs he gave a held-back vocal performance that sounded like he simply couldn't hear himself in the mix very well. His band may have also had difficulties with the sound.

That said, the worst Strait has to offer is still better than most people could ever hope to do, and he toughed it out to deliver a workmanlike version of the song. Later in the show, Strait is expected to team up with Garth Brooks to honor the late Dick Clark.
