It’s almost time to “celebrate” the back-to-school season and country legend Garth Brooks is getting in on the related fun. The singer will join the likes of Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley at the for the ‘Teachers Rock‘ TV special, which is set to air live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Friday, Aug. 17 at 8PM ET.

confirmed the news that CBS had added Brooks to an already stellar lineup that includes other major names in the country genre. The concert celebrates teachers and education, and it happens to take place just as back-to-school madness begins.

Other non-country acts set to appear include Usher, Adam Levine and Josh Groban. Other music, film and sports stars are also slated to attend the event, which is presented by Walmart and benefits several non-profit organizations, as well. Additionally, the concert will feature scenes from the teacher-themed film ‘Won’t Back Down’ starring Maggie Gyllenhaal and Viola Davis. It will also include personal recollections from the likes of Meryl Streep, LL Cool J, Jennifer Garner, Jack Black, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Morrison and Miranda Cosgrove about the importance of education in their lives.

Be sure and tune into the special in two weeks, Brooks, Underwood and Bentley fans.
